Need for Speed Rivals is being developed by Ghost Games, EA's newest studio, who bring new thinking and innovation to the Need for Speed franchise in partnership with the expert racing team at Criterion Games. In Need for Speed Rivals, gamers play as either a cop or racer, where each side of the law has its own set of high stakes challenges, rewards and consequences. As a racer, the goal is to become infamous for taking risks behind the wheel and capturing your most intense escapes on video for the world to see.

The more cops players evade, the more Speedpoints they collect, enabling them to unlock new cars and items. Keep raising the stakes race after race, earning more and more Speedpoints along the way and becoming a more valuable target to the cops – but risk losing it all if busted. As a cop, players work together as part of a team in pursuit of racers, earning prominence and rising in the ranks of the Police Force with every bust. Achieving higher ranks unlocks new police only cars and more powerful pursuit tech.

Ghost Games also announced today the long-awaited return of Ferrari to the Need for Speed franchise. For the first time in seven years, gamers can get behind the wheel of some of the most luxurious, desirable automobiles on the planet, including the F12berlinetta.

Powered by Frostbite 3, Rivals aims to utilize the power of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to give players "the freedom to seamlessly go from single player to co-op to multiplayer." A press release for the game notes the next-gen version will be available both "later this year" and "this November," giving players a good idea of the launch window for Microsoft and Sony's upcoming consoles.

Need for Speed Rivals transports players to the fictitious Redview County, an open-world environment where players can take on the role as either street racer or police officer. Like Most Wanted before it, racers aim to become the most infamous person behind the wheel, while cops attempt to work together to drive the area's high-risk inhabitants off the road. Players can personalize the experience with custom license plates, paint, liveries decals and rims, and performance upgrades.

Though it was not mentioned in the press release announcing Need for Speed Rivals, Ghost Games executive producer Marcus Nilsson confirmed to Joystiq a PC version is also in the works. No release date for that version was revealed.

There won't, however, be a Wii U version of Need for Speed Rivals, and Nilsson is sticking to the company line that the Frostbite engine doesn't play nice with Nintendo's console. "Yeah, Frostbite is not really set up for Wii U. I don't have all the information, so it wouldn't be right for me to speak about it. Frostbite 3 is a really capable engine, it's scalable and it gives us a big advantage on the next generation to support the Xbox One and the PS4, but it's not being developed on the Wii U."

Žali bože nastavaka..Štancaju ih ko na pokretnoj traci. Al eto ostaviću tračak nade za ovo, kad sam već pola života proveo uz NFS.

Ovo će biti smeće kao i nekoliko prethodnih.

Vrlo vjerovatno, ali počekajmo radije E3 demo pa onda možemo pljuvat po igri.

Izgleda baš lijepo, bit će super za ubit vremena :)

Neka pljuvanje pocne 

A pljuju da, a šta fali igri, meni je baš gušt za malo vremena ubit. Pičiš sa autima, hvate te policija, i btk, grafika je dobra, ima par novih sitnica.

Arkadno do bola, ali ponekad mi se i ne igra simulacija pa ovo dođe ko naručeno.

Pa igri bas fali to sto je samo za cisto ubijanje vrmena bez ikakve zanimljivosti, kao sto je i Run, a i ovaj novi Most Wanted. Nema onog sto vecina ocekuje a to je kostumatizacijai tako te stvari. Ali dobro sta je tu je. 

Ali slazem se sa tim da je dobra za ubijanje vremena, kao i svaka druga igra, da ne ispadnem sad neki hejter i tako to.

Ma to je umrlo nakon undergorunda, nažalost. Volio sam i ja customizaciju i sve, ali očito da im to ne donosi profit...iako ne znam da dignu sad neki undergound 3 i slože to,. ja ga yebem ako nebi igru kupio :)

meni ide na živce što stavljaju aute poput porschea,koeninsega,ferrari i lamba odmah pri početku igre nema "normalnih" auta ja bi rađe počeo sa crown victoriom kao policajac a ne ovako mislim ja neznam kako ne slušaju što ljudi govore poslušali su da naprave novi most wanted ali jedina sličnost izmedu novog i starog je ime ...

ali najviše me nervira što je sve na autocesti nema nigdje grada di bi se malo zahebavosa autima ne samo race race race dosadi nakon 1 h

kad sam igrao svaki do sad, onda cu i ovog...iako zadnjih par nisam puno igrao jer su dosadili...

nema tog nfs-a koji ce mi zamjeniti prvi, treci i cetvrti...

sjecam se igranja na 486ici kad je tek izasao prvi dio, jaoooooooooooo... :'(

nisam bas pratio igricu pa me zanima jel ce bit u stilu onih starijih gdje dobijes krs od auta i polako napredujes i sredivas ga ili kao most wanted od prosle godine kojeg sam  igro 20 minuta jer je zesce sranje

Samo su kopirali zahtjeve od bf4 jer je to isti engine.

i 30fps lock?

sramota!! Na pcu da igram na 30fps. 

Ne treba se brinuti, i NFS The Run je bio zaključan na 30fps pa su se ljudi pobunili tako da je 3 mjeseci poslje EA izbacio patch koji je otključao framerate. A i prije toga su ljudi pronašli načine da zaobiđu lock tako da ne sumljam da če se i ovdje nešto nači.

kako ste razmazeni ja ne vjerujem...sta fali 30fps? kao imate toliko expertno oko da vidite razliku izmedu 30 40 i 100? -.-

retardirana razmazenost...igrajte na 10-15 pa se javite (da ne bi bilo zabune, moja 9600GT vrti i dan danas najnovije igre na 30-40
